CEBU, Philippines — The Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) strengthens efforts to help industries take advantage of the economic recovery.
MCCI started this initiative with the recently concluded Mandaue Expo 2022, which is one of the highlights of the Mandaue Business Month (MBM 2022) celebration and 53rd Mandaue City Charter Day.
MCCI president Kelie Ko said the activity intends to promote regional businesses, particularly those in Mandaue City.
During the expo’s official launch held on August 5, 2022, Ko urged investors to come to Mandaue, not just to promote their brands, but also to form alliances with other local businesses already operating in the city.
In his speech during the opening, Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes said the activity is a good promotional tool for the economic rehabilitation of local businesses.
Cortes also commended MCCI for working hand in hand with the City government.
The Mayor noted that the city government together with the MCCI continues to support Mandaue businesses, particularly the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which make up majority of the chamber’s members.
The expo featured products from at least 44 booths, including food, home decor, furniture, and health and wellness related items.
Among the exhibitors were A.D Gothong Manufacturing Corporation, Virginia Food Inc., Gold Leaf Food Concept, King’s Quality Food Inc., Belcris Foods Inc., Equilibrium Intertrade Corporation, Dunkin Donut, Golden Roast Chicken Inc., Didang’s Masareal, Gardenia Bakeries Phils Inc., San Miguel Food Inc., San Miguel Brewery Inc., Ginebra San Miguel Inc., and Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc.,
Also included were the exhibitors from the furniture and furnishings sector such as Dierde Export Trading, S&V Home Decors, Gesalem Design Center, Uratex, Southern Synergy Sales Marketing and Macro Furniture.
The exhibitors from the health and wellness sector were International Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Jelma Philippines Inc.
Bai Hotel, San Remigio Properties, Alpa Land Suites, Maayo Hotel & Resorts, Waterworld Cebu, Cebu Grand Hotel were all featured in the exhibit signaling the rebound of the tourism industry from the Covid-19 pandemic.
There were also livelihood seminars conducted by San Miguel Foods and cooking demonstrations using San Miguel Products during the event.
The Mandaue City Expo 2022 was held on August 5-7, 2022 at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
