CEBU, Philippines — The provincial government of Cebu in partnership with Robinsons Galleria Cebu are holding the fifth R’ Cebu exhibit, highlighting the products and services of the municipalities in the 3rd District of Cebu.
The three-day support-local exhibition is part of the Cebu provincial government’s efforts to promote local cottage industries and tourism destinations by bringing them in one venue.
This weekend, R’ Cebu showcases products from Toledo City, Balamban, Asturias, Aloguinsan, Barili, Pinamungajan and Tuburan.
R’ Cebu! is a joint project presented by Gokongwei-owned Robinsons Galleria Cebu in partnership with the Cebu Provincial Government to support the local cottage industries particularly farmers, fishermen, artisans and micro and small business owners.
In her speech during the formal opening yesterday, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said holding events like this help propel the pandemic-ridden economy, particularly helping farmers, townsfolk, fisherman and cottage industry players to increase their income. According to Floramie Adolfo, senior regional operations—Cebu & Regional Operations Manager -Cebu & Eastern Visayas Robinsons Galleria Cebu, Robinsons Fuente, Robinsons Cybergate Cebu, Robinsons Place Ormoc, Robinsons North Tacloban, in the past R’ Cebu events starting January 2021 exhibitors reported brisk sales performance and after event business opportunities.
Significantly, it also improves the customer traffic of the mall, a welcome development especially now that brick and mortar retail still has to fully recover.
R’ Cebu will culminate by June 25-27, 2021 showcasing the 2nd and 6th district of Cebu province.
