CEBU, Philippines — AppleOne Properties Inc., is set to acquire more hospitals going forward, following its successful acquisition of Visayas Community Medical Center (VCMC) in Cebu and United Shalom Medical Center (USMC) in Tacloban City in August this year.
“We are continuing our negotiations for acquiring another hospital, the third one, after the two hospitals we acquired early this year,” announced AppleOne president and chief executive officer (CEO) Ray Go Manigsaca yesterday.
AppleOne Properties Inc., acquired majority share of Visayas Community Medical VCMC in Cebu and United Shalom Medical Center (USMC) in Tacloban City last August.
This marked the Cebu-based developer’s entry into the healthcare sector, through a newly-established healthcare arm AppleOne Medical Group (AMG).
AMG is now negotiating for another hospital acquisition, Manigsaca however stopped short of revealing further details.
“As of this time, we are focusing on healthcare, and developing the healthcare of tomorrow, as the need for financial and operational support is critical for this industry. We are developing an integrated medical complex, VisayasMed City Center, which will house VCMC hospital and the AppleOne Medical Arts Building, located in the heart of Cebu City, with the learning we’ve garnered from this pandemic,” he said.
