The International ICT Awards, founded by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, is now in its 14th year as the leading and most prestigious annual ICT awards event in the Philippines.
It is an annual awards event that recognizes the outstanding companies in the Philippines that provide services using information and communications technologies (ICT). Nominees are evaluated by an independent panel of judges who are professionals in the ICT field.
The nominees are assessed for their excellence in international business in several different categories, each category with a specific set of criteria for judging.
With the 2020 theme “Transcending Excellence,” for the first time in its 14-year history, the ICT Awards was presented virtually on prime-time TV (ANC) as well as simultaneously streamed on Facebook and on the LED billboard at EDSA cor. Ortigas, Manila, and was later uploaded on YouTube for repeat viewing in the new normal.
“We would like to thank the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and the International ICT Awards Philippines for this recognition,” said Elena Palacios, Lexmark Cebu president and CEO, during the awarding night that was streamed online.
“Our world-class Filipino workforce make our culture, and this award is an inspiring reminder that despite this pandemic, we continue to innovate and adapt to changes that will keep providing significant experiences to our people, our global customers, and the community.”
This 2020 event is supported by the country’s two biggest and leading telecommunication companies—Globe Business and PLDT Enterprise—as title sponsors. For the second year, it has been officially endorsed by Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), and National ICT Confederation of the Philippine (NICP).
