CEBU, Philippines — The rising demand for customized housing construction service at the back of the residential property boom prompted Filipino Homes Group to launch its construction management arm called Filipino Homes Plus.
“We saw the need of some clients who want to have custom-made houses,” said Filipino Homes founder Anthony Gerard Leuterio in a press conference during the new company’s grand launch held Tuesday at Midori Plains, in Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla.
Primarily, this service is targeted for OFWs (overseas Filipino workers) who own properties in the Philippines, and want to build houses but find it hard to get somebody to manage the construction. But, it also accommodates customized home contraction needs for non-OFW clients.
“Filipino Homes Plus targets lot-only owners who want to build their houses according to their liking, a niche market that is currently not served by existing developers,” Leuterio said.
Filipino Homes Plus works with contractors. Its services limit only to building houses from P5 million and up worth of projects, said Filipino Homes Plus head Azela E. Honor.
It is a construction management company that specializes in custom-made houses, she further explained.
According to Leuterio, this particular service was discovered after buyers were constantly asking their agents to look for people to construct their houses for them.
"We are not supposed to be doing this but nobody is doing this. This is actually a value-added service to our clients, an answer to their needs," said Leuterio.
At present, Filipino Homes Plus has an inventory of 15 houses being built in Cebu and also in other parts of Mindanao.
“OFWs are the ones fueling the growth of the economy and we don't want to miss this opportunity that their needs will not be catered properly.
Most of them [OFWs] can't handle the project management. This is where we come in,” Leuterio said.
