Nonoy Espeleta is new CCCI president

CEBU, Philippines — Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) recently elected educator Virgilio “Nonoy” G. Espeleta as new president.

Espeleta, an adjunct faculty of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), was given the presidency seat after the one-term leadership of businessman and Consul Antonio Chiu.

Espeleta is presently engaged in handholding mid-sized and mostly family-run enterprises achieve their highest growth potential by crafting and implementing sustainable strategic business roadmaps.

His past and current involvement in companies as independent board of director or business management consultant covers both the family and corporate governance systems, e.g. Managing or Providing Guidance to Family Corporations in the areas of Conflict Prevention, Professionalizing, Succession Planning and Family Board Governance.

Espeleta is the 37th CCCI president since its establishment in 1903. (FREEMAN)
