Radisson wins Virtus Award for marketing campaign
CEBU, Philippines - Radisson Blu Cebu was honored for its distinguished marketing campaign by the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association (HSMA) International in the Philippines last November 15.
The Virtus Awards is the biggest and most prestigious awards program honoring sales and marketing professionals in the travel and tourism industry in the Philippines. The Marketing Campaign of the Year recognizes a campaign built around a single unified theme using at least two different types of media.
The hotel was recognized for pioneering the brand’s wedding concept, Something Blu: A Wedding of a Kind, a signature wedding concept that brings weddings to life with customized packages, stylish, sophisticated, stress-free and flawless from start to finish.
The campaign which was launched last May 27 spanned various multimedia initiatives from print to digital to reach its market segment. A two-day bridal fair was held at the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu with over 50 wedding suppliers gathered in an exquisite display of the finest wedding options. The premier business hotel’s goal was to be the top of mind wedding venue for planners, brides and grooms-to-be in Cebu City. Radisson Blu Cebu successfully closed 33 weddings with over PhP 8.6 million in revenue.

The Sales and Marketing team was led by Area Director of Sales and Marketing Ann Olalo composed of team members Director of Events Ruby Nepomuceno, Director of Marketing Communications Princes Anderle, Promotions Manager Rochelle Tabino and Marketing Communications Assistant Christine Estrella.
