CEBU, Philippines – The Bureau of Internal Revenue announced that the improved tax registration forms are now available for the implementation of the Taxpayer Registration System under the Electronic Tax Information System.
In Revenue Memorandum Circular 9-2015, the tax bureau said the enhanced versions of tax forms include the application for registration for self-employed people, corporations and partnerships, those earning purely compensation income, one-time taxpayers, individuals updating registration information and certificate of update of exemption and information of employee and employer.
The BIR said these new tax forms are only applicable to district offices covered by the introduction of the TRS.
The BIR also cited some additional registration information being set in to conform to the agency’s requirements that include place of birth, mother’s maiden name, father’s name, identification details, incentive details for taxpayers claiming incentives, contact details and valid e-mail information for business taxpayers.
The tax filing season has already started and that the BIR, which collects around 70% of the total government revenues, has urged taxpayers to file and pay before the April 15 deadline.
