CEBU, Philippines - As part of Wilcon’s corporate social responsibility program, the company pledges its support to Wilcon Foundation and Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Incorporated in an agreement signing ceremony held recently at the Wilcon Depot Head Office.
Wilcon is set to hold its first invitational golf tournament dubbed as “Wilcon Cup” on January 20, 2015 at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club, Mandaluyong City. The activity is aimed to raise funds to support the educational programs of the company’s socio – civic arm Wilcon Foundation as well as the conservation efforts of Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Incorporated.
Present in the MOA signing are Wilcon SEVP – Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong, Wilcon President and Wilcon Foundation Chairman William Belo, Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Incorporated. Chairman of the Board Angel Alcala and President Vicente Mercado.
Wilcon Foundation, a non-stock, non – profit organization, helps uplift the social well-being of under privileged children and individuals by means of giving access to free education. The foundation believes that good education should not only be enjoyed by the fortunate and privileged ones but also by the deprived and deserving students.
Crocodylus Porosus Philippines, Incorporated is an association of six commercial crocodile farms in the Philippines selected by the government, Department of Environment & Natural Resources and Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau who are committed to support the conservation of crocodiles in the country.
The much awaited Wilcon Cup will have over 100 architects, industry professionals and business partners as participants. (FREEMAN)
