Smart recognizes top resellers

CEBU, Philippines - Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) gave recognition to top performing business partners in simple ceremonies held recently.

The honorees were cited for achieving outstanding sales performance by expanding the availability of Smart Load, effectively and successfully helping the telco serve the needs of its growing subscriber base across the country.

“Our business partners are key contributors to our continuous success,” said Charles Lim, EVP and head of wireless consumer business for Smart and Sun Cellular. “Through our Golden Circle Rewards Program, we want to honor and recognize their efforts in helping us reach and serve our more than 50 million subscribers.”

The Golden Circle Rewards is an incentive program to encourage business partners to achieve an impressive load sell out within a specified period. Every P100,000 load sell-out by their retailers earns them one raffle ticket for a chance to win P25,000 in the monthly draw, P100,000 in the quarterly draw, and P1,000,000 in the grand draw.

Among Smart’s key business partners, the nine companies that were recognized were: Ventaja International Corp., VMobile Technologies, Inc., Private Communication Network, PLDT Global HK, Robinsons Department Store, Jade Group, Inc., Muenchen Corp., Uniwiz Trade Sales, Inc., and Oks Pinoy Inc.

Allan Bengco, senior vice president of VMobile, said Smart was the only telco that provided them with fully customizable products like SIM cards and load packages. He said their company is looking forward to offering more unique products to their customers.

“Our partnership with Smart is everything to us,” said Bengco. “Our goal is to empower everybody through the use of technology and it’s a great opportunity to partner with a company like Smart that shares the same objective.”

Over the years, Smart has continuously developed world-first innovations aimed at democratizing the benefits of technology down to the grassroots level.

Recently, the telco launched Smart Music, the country’s first and biggest online music portal, and BayadLoad, the only mobile payment service of its kind for mandatory government insurance contributions.

“Our groundbreaking services are not just additional revenue streams for us and our business partners. Each of these services is designed to enhance the way Filipinos live, communicate, and carry out their transactions,” said Lim.

“Recognizing that many of our subscribers will take advantage of these innovative services, we are banking on our partnership with our business partners, together with their extensive network of retailers nationwide, to fully cater to the needs of our subscribers,” ended Lim.

Smart’s parent company, PLDT, has over 73.4 million prepaid subscribers under the wireless brands Smart, Talk ‘N Text, and Sun Cellular, served by a network of over a million e-load retailers all over the country. PLDT has the largest and most pervasive cellular network infrastructure in the country, providing wireless coverage to over 99% of the population. (FREEMAN)
