CEBU, Philippines - Continuing its mission to provide quality affordable living for average Filipinos, 8990 Housing Development Corporation had successfully sold 300 units on the day the property developer launched the second phase of its Deca Homes – Baywalk residential project.
Deca Homes General Manager Anthony Vincent Sotto revealed in an interview with The Freeman that the company was surprised with the sales turn-out during the launching of Baywalk – Phase 2 last February 23.
Instead of having an initial sales offering of 150 units, he said that they had to extend to 300 units with the remarkably positive market reception.
He further noted that the low-income segment remains to be the underserved market in the industry taking into account the backlog in the housing sector.
He also said that the projected real estate bubble may be true for the high-end segment but not for the developer’s market niche.
Deca Homes - Baywalk is an economic housing project as opposed to socialized housing situated in a 14-hectare lot at Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City.
It is divided into two phases. Baywalk – Phase 2 houses a total of 881 two-story townhouses in a 6.7 hectare property.
Prices of units that have a capacity area of 55 square meters floor area on a 40 square meter lot range from P980,000 to P1.2 million.
Construction will start from April 2013 and is targeted to be completed a year after or earlier than 2014.
Units will be then turned-over a month after the completion.
Sotto cited that Deca Homes provides the guaranteed best value for money, quality building technology that allows the buyer to move immediately, unique in-house payment scheme thru its CTS Gold financing terms, competitive interest rates and less demand for documentary requirements.
The Baywalk project, he said, features a refreshing ambience overlooking Bohol Strait and accessibility to the city thru the South Road Properties.
He, however, assured that the developer has taken precautions for the protection and safety of homeowners against natural calamities,
He added that the units are specifically-designed 15 meters away from the seawall.
Amenities include a basketball court, multi-purpose hall, children’s playground, underground drainage system, centralized water system with water tank, entrance gate with guardhouse and concrete roads.
Serving 22 years in the industry, Deca Homes has built 2,606 constructed units, completed 42 projects, had 454 hectares of land development in the country.
It currently has 13 ongoing projects such as those in Iloilo, Davao, Cavite, and Clark, Pampanga.
It will have 12 incoming projects to be launched within the year which will include a medium-rise condominium project in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City and the first high-rise property development in Mandaluyong.
