[Title] => Should we learn something from Mexico?
[Summary] => The nation is relieved that the two young Ledesma children are now safe. But it is wrong to say, as some police officers proudly proclaimed, that they were released unharmed. I hate to imagine the psychological damage such an ordeal caused on their young minds. The kids will not be the same again.

[Title] => PSE should go beyond BW reforms
[Summary] => I watched PSEs hoopla of a roadshow at the Manila Pen last Monday. I noticed that all the speeches and presentations focused on BW-inspired reforms. If only I got a word in when I last talked to PSEs Vivian Y, I would have been able to explain why John Mangun is right about the need to now pay attention to the quality of the listed issues at the exchange.

[Title] => PSE will undertake deep reforms
[Summary] => I just had a most informative phone call from PSE Chairman Vivian Yuchengco, who just returned from what she described as an encouraging road show in Singapore and Hong Kong. After expressing disappointment with my "negative" column on the PSE, she said the board she now heads is actually addressing the concerns raised by my column. "You, of all people," Vivian Y admonished. "I fully expected you to help with our drive to reform the market."
