At 4 p.m. yesterday, the center of "Nanang" was spotted off the western coast of Aklan or 170 kms. east-southeast of Coron, Palawan with strongest sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph.
It is forecast to move west-northwest at 11 kph, and pass close to San Jose, Mindoro Occidental early today then cross to the Calamian group of islands. It will be 100 kms. west-northwest of Coron this afternoon.
