The first time I saw Philip Seymour Hoffman on a screen and in a movie, it was in the early ‘90s, in Scent of a Woman. He was unforgettable as the guy who kept referring to Chris O’Donnell as “Chaz,” even if his name was “Charlie.” He was so unlikable that I loved the fact that I hated him so much.
