[Title] => From Jolo to Kabul, to Baghdad: A common misunderstanding?
[Summary] => Right on cue, a bomb blast in Jolo, the capital of the Sulu archipelago, reminded us that not all our troubles consist of the political noise-making in Metro Manila. At least nine people were killed and about 20 others injured when an improvised explosive device exploded in the Sulu Consumers Cooperative store. By this act, even though the destruction is nowhere near the magnitude of the bomb attacks in Iraq, our local terrorists called attention to the fact that they are still in business.

[Title] => Perhaps the Americans didnt consult us either what do you think?
[Summary] => Its clear that Governor Parouk Hussin of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is not just irritated by the fact that he wasnt consulted on the now-publicized plan of having American soldiers fight alongside Filipino soldiers against the Abu Sayyaf in his native province of Sulu. Whats useful about his outburst is that it has also revealed that in his heart hes still a rebel.
Now thats interesting, even though not unexpected (to risk a double negative).
