The 28-year-old Valle surprised the big guns in the kickoff leg of the series in Singapore as he toppled 16-year-old pool prodigy Wu Chia-Ching of Chinese Taipei in the finals, 11-9, to bag the top $10,000 purse.

Valle repulsed Taiwanese teener Wu Chia Ching in a thrilling final round duel, pulling off an 11-9 victory Sunday and ruling the kickoff leg of the 2005 San Miguel Asian 9-ball Tour at the Suntec Exhibition Hall in Singapore.


Making his first appearance in the tour, Valle, the 1998 Asian Games 9-ball doubles gold medalist, overcame a 4-6 deficit to claim seven of the last nine racks, including the US$10,000 (P540,000) champion’s purse.
