[Title] => Nunes noosphere
[Summary] => One night last May at Penguin Gallery Café (which by the by has changed managerial hands, albeit its safely stayed within the family), while family and friends were celebrating Mother Earth Su Llamados departure for Seattle (biro lang, Mama), I happened to glance up and make droopy-eye contact with the equally lambent-visaged painter Nunelucio Alvarado.

[Title] => GMA adopts her fathers simple-living policy
[Summary] => During President Diosdado Macapagals administration, the main motto of the government was "Simple Living" and President Macapagal was the very first to set the example right in Malacañang. The government was very frugal with all government expenses. We had the honor and privilege of being Secretary of Education at that time and I remember that our salary was unbelievably low because it was still based on the 1935 Constitution.

[Title] => Lifestyle check of top government officials
[Summary] => Last Tuesday, President Arroyo ordered the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission (PAGC) to conduct a lifestyle check of top government officials from Cabinet members to bureau directors to verify if they are living within their means. We would like to suggest that President Arroyo adopts her fathers official policy for all officials during his regime and that was "Simple Living". The good thing about Macapagals Simple Living motto was that he and his cabinet literally set the example. Simple living began right in the palace itself.
