Long before SM became SM, I was patronizing its progenitor which was simply Shoe Mart. Incidentally, Shoe Mart in Makati was where I bought my first pair of shoes coming from my first paycheck.

When SM City Taytay opened Nov. 9, 2007, my son Karl and I began what became a habit of visiting our very own SM on a weekly basis. We usually start our journey at the WOF (World of Fun).
