                    [Summary] => OZAMIZ CITY — Communist rebels have apologized to the families of the three civilian women who were killed when they ambushed men of the Reconnaissance Company of the Army’s 15th Infantry in Misamis Occidental last Sunday.


The rebels claimed that eight were killed and four others were wounded in the ambush.


In a statement, Mario Serano, spokesman of the Front Monterosa of the National Democratic Front’s Western Mindanao Command, claimed responsibility for the ambush and promised to extend support to the families of the three civilians.
