Senior Superintendent Alexander Pumecha, spokesman of the Cordillera police command, said Senior Inspector Antonio Marcos was walking toward the St. Michael lodging house in the Tadian town proper when the six men accosted him.
Pumecha said Marcos identified himself as a police officer, but the men still took his service handgun and cellular phone.
