Dr. Epifanio Buela, Albay district superintendent, said that 3,877 school buildings were damaged, with the estimated cost of damage reaching P639 million.

Mordeno, in a radio interview, said that he agrees with Lapuz that not all students who intend to enter college are fit to take up a four-year course.
He hopes that the restoration of the NCEE will be implemented next year. However, there is a need yet for a bill on such move to be passed in Congress.
