Samboan Mayor John Peter Calderon, who is running for a seat in the Provincial Board for the second district, has requested Police Regional Office director Silverio Alarcio for additional policemen to his town. 


In his letter request, Calderon reported about the arrival in his town of 11 armed men who were believed to be members of the Alex Bongcayao Brigade of the New People''s Army. 


Calderon alleged that these armed men were hired by political opponents and had already started harassing some residents of the town''s barangays.
