Last Tuesday at the height of that fire that struck Barangay Luz where nearly 60 homes made of light materials were destroyed, traffic was snarled all over Cebu City because Arch. Reyes Ave. had to be closed while the Fire Brigade battled with the fire.

A few days ago we almost hit a motorcycle driver at the junction of Salinas Drive, Juan Luna Ave., and Arch. Reyes Ave. when the driver of the two-wheeled vehicle cut into our lane from the right side to make a left turn.

DON’T BE AFRAID. A couple of men jumped into a jeepney full of passengers the other day while it was traversing along Arch. Reyes Ave. much to the surprise of the passengers. They were hard-looking men, easily capable of snatching an unwary victim’s handbag, much less rob the whole jeepney. One man moved to the seat behind the driver while the other stayed at the rear.
