Now President Duterte has issued an executive order, enjoining local government units to implement RH programs. Will the LGUs also sabotage the EO?

The Supreme Court on February declared the major provisions of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 as constitutional, including the provision that criminalizes online libel. The high court ruled that the imposition of cyber libel on the "original author of the post" is constitutional, but clarified the same is unconstitutional insofar as it penalizes those who simply receive the post and react to it. This means only the source of a malicious e-mail, post on social media like Facebook or any website, tweet on Twitter can be held liable under RA 10175.

It is really hard to simply keep quiet about how this administration has been trying to trample upon and subvert the independence of the Judiciary, particularly the Supreme Court (SC), which is supposed to be a separate, free and self-reliant branch of government.

Finally, finally, after a temporary restraining order that lasted next to forever (okay, I exaggerate, it lasted over a year) that came after a decade and a half of being in legislative limbo, the  Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act – RA 10354 or the RH Law – has been upheld against challenges and protests and can now be implemented.
