The Makati City governments Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) has apprehended 726 litterbugs during round-the-clock anti-littering operations in the month of July.
In a report to Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, SWMD chief Raul Javier said that of the total, 625 were transients while 101 were Makati residents.
The litterbugs were apprehended along Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, J.P. Rizal Extension, Pasong Tamo Street, F. Arnaiz Avenue, Pasong Tirad, Magallanes and Reposo.

Another 35 of the violators were fined P500 each and the remaining 142 were summoned by the office of the SWMD for disciplinary action.
