[Title] => Situation in Philippines different from Thailand
[Summary] => A group of senators led by their Senate President Franklin Drilon has launched a campaign aimed at forcing President Arroyo to follow the footsteps of Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra who decided to step down amidst allegations of corruption. It follows that now that he has stepped down, the allegations against him should be fully investigated and if they are found to be true, he should be charged in court. Frankly, we dont see the connection between President Gloria Macapagals situation and that of Prime Minister Thaksin.

[Title] => Foul
[Summary] => The problem with autocratic leaders is that, as much as they might be able to claim personal credit for a countrys successes, they are also expected to take personal blame for failures.
The Thai delegation to this years Southeast Asian Games has, so far, performed poorer than expected. But instead of taking personal blame for the lackluster performance of his countrys delegation, Prime Minister Thaksin assigns the blame to us.
Instead of calling for an investigation into the quality of officiating, we should simply cry foul.
