"We received information that there are persons posing as Meralco employees and inquiring about the consumption patterns of some residents in the Metro area," said Elpi Cuna Jr., Meralco’s vice president for corporate communication."

"It seems their modus operandi is to check the appliances and verify consumption so they can get inside the house," he added.
