More than a dozen hobie cats and lasers are taking part in the new sporting event which will be held for the first time in west Batangas. The regatta is open to hobies, lasers, streakers, sunfish, 470s, 420s, and wayfarers. There will also be a fun run for speedboats and jetskis.

BORACAY -- Two-time President's Cup champion Tony Robinson dedicated the last of his two victories in the 2000 Philippine Hobie Challenge inshore races to a seven-year-old girl suffering from Leukemia.

Robinson, who lost the six-leg offshore race crown to fellow Brit Michael Scantlebury, finished the three-race series by placing second, first and first in the final event of the week-long adventure sailing series sanctioned by the Philippine Sailing Association and sponsored by the Pearl of the Pacific Hotel.
