More than a dozen hobie cats and lasers are taking part in the new sporting event which will be held for the first time in west Batangas. The regatta is open to hobies, lasers, streakers, sunfish, 470s, 420s, and wayfarers. There will also be a fun run for speedboats and jetskis.

Clarence Tayong finished second in a Laser while Rafael Buste was third in a Streaker.
Tayong and Buste actually topped their respective boat classes. Tayong beat Rico Magsanay and Roman Azanza in the Laser group while Buste toppled Bernard Flores and Darwin Santos in the Streaker class.
The other winners were Max Soriano, Optimist; Teodorico Asejo, Topper; and Benny Legarda, Sunfish.
