[Title] => On amending the PSC charter
[Summary] =>
JAKARTA, Indonesia - It took me all of eight hours to get to Jakarta to Manila the other Sunday (Jan. 28, 2007). It was my longest trip to Jakarta since I first traveled to the Indonesian capital from Manila in 1983. From 1988 to 2007, I have gone to Jakarta around 10 times and it did not take me more than six hours to reach the Indonesian capital from Manila. This time, however, I had to take the circuitous route of Manila-Hong Kong-Jakarta.

[Title] => People power and Barangay sports
[Summary] => Two Saturdays ago, I had the chance to do the commentary of the 44-round boxing promotion of a son of mine, Councilor Joseph (Sep) Juico, of the first district of Quezon City. The bouts, held in Barangay Paltok, were watched live by more than a thousand wildly cheering spectators that included members of the De La Salle Universitys champion womens volleyball team in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The entire card was shown last Sunday on IBC 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
