[Title] => Antonio nears P1M purse;
[Summary] => Paciencia drags rival to first
tiebreak
Grandmaster Rogelio Antonio Jr. hurdled the second to the last man separating
him from the Pambansa Chess Millennium Grand Prix crown as he bundled out
National Master Richard Bitoon with a draw in their second game yesterday at
the PNB Finance Center in Pasay.
Antonio, who toppled Bitoon in their first game Monday, settled for a fighting
39-move draw to complete a 1.5-.5 win in their duel and get a crack at the
championship and the P1 million cash pot that goes with it.
