[Title] => Unchanging values
[Summary] => The last weekend World Meeting on the Family held in Valencia Spain brought to the fore once more, mans difficulty in maintaining a balance between the old and the new. The ever changing world constantly brainwashes man to adopt everything new at the expense of old traditional values because modern technological advances seem to have rendered these values obsolete. The constant flux in the world has indeed rendered man vulnerable to all sorts of changes including those affecting the unchanging Gospel values.

[Title] => Private interest
[Summary] => As expected our Senators opted to proceed with the investigation of the Jose Pidal controversy.They have to, since they already accomodated the demand of their colleague Panfilo Lacson to conduct a probe in the first place. So "kahiyaan na" if they will not finish what they started.To our Senators, it does not matter if Lacson abruptly left them behind after dropping his "bombshell". Anyway, the expose apparently clicked with the credulous and unwary masa, thanks to the obliging media.

[Title] => Unreliable statement
[Summary] => Too much value is being given to affidavits or sworn statements in the on-going Senate investigation about the Pidal expose by Lacson. Our Senators from opposite camps are now engaged in a battle of affidavits signed by one and the same person who is turning out to be "mas mahusay sa kanila". Opposition senators say the original one is more credible while the opposite side says the second one should prevail.
For the information of our Senators, this case tells us the true value of a sworn statement.
