The Manila Police District (MPD) has intensified patrols around motels in the city to prevent couples of minor age from engaging in "short-time" stay in such establishments especially with Valentine’s Day just around the corner.


MPD officer-in-charge Police Superintendent Danilo Abarzosa said motels have been reminded by the city government to strictly enforce an ordinance that prohibits "short-time" stay in motels and inns.
