[Summary] =>Not much really, just time and effort in making a worthy project become a reality here in Cebu. That's what the Board of Directors of One La Salle Cebu Alumni Association (OLSCAA) discovered last August 02 during the turnover ceremony of The Gulong sa Pagsulong Program in cooperation with The NOVA Foundation in Balamban for the mobility impaired indigent beneficiaries from the Municipalities of Asturias and Balamban. This program aims to provide mobility aid to indigent persons with disability so that they can become more productive members of society. Because of the mobility aid, they can have the chance to study, be employed and become self-reliant. The return of investment of the time we spent working on this project? Priceless! The insights we gathered? Numerous! Most importantly, we learned that it only takes so little to make a difference in somebody's life, some of us shelled out a little money in order to buy some crutches (P850 each) and folding canes (P600 each for the visually impaired beneficiaries). A few donated aluminum canes and walkers, stuff they used when they broke a leg or a foot. Seeing the happiness etched on the faces of the beneficiaries when they received their mobility aid devices, a lot of us were humbled and some of us got teary-eyed. We all felt deeply blessed to have been a part of a very noble and enriching program. Thank you NOVA Foundation for giving accreditation to One La Salle Cebu Alumni Association!
