[Title] => Diplomacy and friendship
[Summary] => A true friendship is a very rare thing indeed, and thus something to be treasured and kept safe by all means possible. When a true friendship is harmed, it takes patience, good will and good intentions to heal it, and it takes courage and determination to prevent old wounds from reopening.

[Title] => United Nations failing to live up to its task
[Summary] => The United Nations is unquestionably the highest and most important world organization in history. Its charter clearly warmly invites all peace-loving states to join. Yet to this date, there is one country that has been trying to join the United Nations and their petition has been totally ignored. We are referring to the Republic of China that relocated to Taiwan after the People's Republic of China was established on mainland China. That was way back in 1949. Since then, the two sides of the Taiwan Strait have been governed separately and we now have two Chinas.

[Title] => Taiwan urges China to engage in dialogue over cross-straits issue
[Summary] => Taiwan urged China yesterday to engage in a dialogue with Taiwanese leaders to reduce tensions arising from the cross-straits issue amid Taipeis bid for independence.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) called for talks in a statement after Beijing openly called on the Philippines and the international community to oppose and stop Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bien from what it claimed was a very dangerous move: separating Taiwan from mainland China.
