[Title] => Pawn Stars actors coming to meet and greet fans
[Summary] => Leaving their gold and silver pawn shop business in Las Vegas for a quick break, HISTORY’s Pawn Stars father-and-son duo Rick and Corey Harrison (photo) take their humor and sharp-eyed pawning and appraisal skills to the Philippines, as they set on a tour around Manila to meet their fans (and perhaps, search for worthy pieces to pawn) from Aug. 22 to 24.

For a change, I'm using the first person… I'd been privileged to speak twice on the multi-faceted personality of UV's grand Old Man, whose 118th birth anniversary come January 12 shall be aptly honored in memoriam by the UV community as its Founder's Day. Such twin sincere tributes now grace the pages of my humble book, "Footnotes in Time".

[Title] => Rock-solid
[Summary] => The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry. Psalm 34:15
It was a sad day in May 2003 when "The Old Man of the Mountain" broke apart and slid down the mountainside. This 40-foot profile of an old mans face, carved by nature in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, had long been an attraction to tourists, a solid presence for residents, and the official state emblem. It was written about by Nathaniel Hawthorne in his short story The Great Stone Face.
