GSIS vice president for public affairs Nilo Racimo said the agency is not aware of any investigation conducted by the Department of Finance (DOF).


Finance Secretary Jose Isidro Camacho earlier announced that an investigation conducted by the DOF showed the GSIS guilty of delays in processing salary loans and pension applications. Camacho further said "We made certain recommendations to Malacañang as to how the problem should be solved".

This was explained yesterday by Nilo Racimo, GSIS vice president for corporate affairs,  following reports that the Commission on Audit (COA) has voided an early retirement plan pay scheme for GSIS employees for being "morally indefensible" because it contained more benefits that the regular government retirement plan.

                    [Summary] => The whole Commission on Audit (COA) personnel complement of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) head office in Pasay City staged a walk-out yesterday morning to protest the alleged questionable and vengeful transfer of their office ordered by GSIS chairman Winston Garcia.


The protesting COA personnel said they suspected that Garcia’s order for them to vacate their offices at the sixth floor of the GSIS building near Roxas Boulevard had something to do with a recent call they made for the Office of the Ombudsman to probe irregularities in the agency.
