On a year-to-year basis, the BOP surplus continued to improve to $2.4 billion as of end-December 2005 from a deficit of $280 million in the same period in 2004 and end-Novembers level of $2.13 billion.
The December 2005 BOP surplus was an improvement over the $177-million surplus registered in the same period in 2004.
