[Title] => Gone but not forgotten
[Summary] => Losing a loved one is a natural part of life. Still, like anyone who has experienced the passing of a loved one, I, too, wallowed in sadness when my parents headed to the great beyond. I used to think that crying a river over someone’s death only happens in soap operas, but I was wrong. Though I’m not the type who cries easily, I experienced that sudden outburst of tears during the early part of grieving.

[Title] => I just took that bath
[Summary] =>
My Nanay (grandmother) died. As a grandchild, I did the most loathed thing - I forced myself to go home to pay homage. And home is equivalent to boredomâ€â€in dealing with endless hypocritical relatives.
Upon her death, the traditional rituals took place: no sweeping of the floor, no taking a bath, no wearing of bright colors since it denotes happiness "kuno"; no combing of the hair, blah…blah….
The list went on.

[Title] => My heroine
[Summary] => Long, long ago, during my childhood years of innocence and simplicity, yesterday, December 1 used to be a special occasion celebrated in almost every family as "mothers day". But whether or not the celebration has already been moved to another date, December 1 is always "mothers day" for me because it is the birthday of my beloved Mama, Natalia Celestial-Sison.

[Title] => Three moms have I
[Summary] =>
Most kids usually call for "mom" when things go wrong.
Having a mother around cannot be compared to just having a guardian or a relative to take care of us.
As dominant as men may seem outside the house, it is the woman who rules at home.
