[Summary] =>
Polished, prim and proper. These are the three key words that inspire many of this seasons pieces. With extensive reviews on sleek silhouettes, the revival of the skirt suit and a perceptive illustration of the new smart, style takes form with an image of the quintessential Stepford wife as Falls fashion template. Lace trims, ruffles, tulip skirts, billow sleeves, cuffs and cinched waists are prime elements that make collections from major fashion houses Yves Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Fendi and Balenciaga a strong declaration of somber style.

[Title] => The music of the Mona Lisa Smile
[Summary] => I still have to see the movie so I do not really have any idea if Mona Lisa Smile is anything earthshaking, entertaining or should be saved only for video viewing. But the latest Julia Roberts starrer has a gem of a soundtrack album. I do not know if all the tracks included made it to the movie but whether it did or not, this is one collection that anybody who loves beautiful songs will truly treasure.

[Title] => Mona Lisa frown
[Summary] => Bohemian California-native art history professor Katherine Watson gets a job at a prestigious and conservative 1953 womens college, her liberal West Coast values clashing with the schools conservative East Coast principles. The moment I saw Mona Lisa Smiles trailer, this premise presented to me, I knew Id love the film. Plus, it starred a beret-donning Julia Roberts and an all-female cast of Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Marcia Gay Harden.

[Title] => Women who smile
[Summary] => In Columbia Pictures Romantic-Comedy "Mona Lisa Smile," Julia Roberts leads an all-star cast of young actresses including Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles and Maggie Gyllenhaal, in a story of women struggling to define themselves in a world that has already defined them.
Katherine Watson (Roberts) travels from California to the New England campus of Wellesley College in the fall of 1953 to teach art history. In the post-war era, Katherine expects that her students, the best and the brightest in the country, will take advantage of the opportunities presented to them.
