He said that it's an insult for customers to have their receipts marked, a security measure to make sure that the items bought were the reflected on the receipt, to rule out shoplifters.

Ed Laguerta, Phivolcs resident volcanologist, said the downgrade in Mayons alert status was the result of seven weeks of continuing decline in the volcanos unrest.
Phivolcs raised alert level 2 on Oct. 11, 2003.
