[Title] => Church lives up to its historical role
[Summary] => It has always been the Church that has been on the forefront of the nations battle for freedom and progress. Who were the first martyrs executed in the Luneta during Spanish times, Rizal? No! They were three priests Fathers Jose Burgos, Mariano Gomez and Jacinto Zamora. That was why Rizal dedicated his El Filibusterismo to the three proto-martyrs. So did Bonifacio. The secret code-word of the Katipunan was Gomburza.

[Title] => What will happen to our countrys future?
[Summary] => During the Martial Law years, Filipinos had been strictly controlled to follow the government policies at that time. Our freedom was indeed taken away from us. As a result, we were repressed in expressing ourselves. The media was very much controlled on what it was to publish or show on television and the big screen. The people could not protest in the streets in form of a rally. If ever they did, a swat team would pick them up and send them to jail. Kidnappings, rapes or any massacres were kept under the rugs it was total news black out.

[Title] => Government determined to prosecute big tax evaders - DOF
[Summary] => The Arroyo administration yesterday took exception to criticisms that it was having difficulties making its supporters pay more taxes, saying the elite and upper middle income groups are not exempt from prosecution if found violating tax laws.
The Department of Finance in a statement said the Arroyo administration is determined to "prosecute and jail the so-called big fish" as the Bureau of Internal Revenues (BIR) cracks down on erring large taxpayers.
