Dr. Westly Rosario, chief of the BFAR’s research center, said the mammal is a Rissu’s Dolphin (Grampus griesus).

The mammal, the fifth largest of the Delphinidae family, was brought to a circular tank at the center and was given first aid. It was the 13th dolphin that beached along the Lingayen Gulf since 2000.
