[Title] => State prosecutor accuses hospital of coddling Leviste
[Summary] =>
Senior State Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco accused the management of the Makati Medical Center yesterday of allegedly coddling former Batangas governor Jose Antonio Leviste.
Velasco plans to file today charges of indirect contempt and obstruction of justice against the hospital for allowing Leviste to extend his stay there despite an order last March 6 from Makati RTC Branch 150 Judge Elmo Alameda directing that Leviste be returned to detention at the Makati City Jail.

[Title] => After the stroke
[Summary] => This morning I awoke at 6:30 a.m. and did the typical thing. I sat down to write my Morning Pages. It began with, "I am alive!" Every morning that is how I feel grateful to be alive. You see, I have had a stroke and while I am very well-recovered and should no longer be writing about the stroke or so I am told repeatedly for me, it is an important thing. It is a marker of tremendous change. Since the change happened just like that and it took me two years to recover, it is only now that the impact of my stroke can be reviewed without any uneasiness.

[Title] => Troubled marriages
[Summary] => It was a terrible day that started so early for me. I was going to be tested, a post-stroke brain test to see how damaged the goods are. I left home early and by the time I got to the university it was after 9 a.m. and classes at all levels had been called off. It took so long to get the testing started and then I had to rush back to Makati to have lunch with my daughter and her lawyer at one. I was half an hour late. It was a day when everything you set got dragged into tardiness.
"Mom, Id like you to meet Tunting Cruz Matters," my daughter Risa said.

[Title] => 'High on texting
[Summary] => During a business trip to Thailand last week, I happened to chat with a young Filipina on her way to Bangkok to visit her mother. Upon learning that I was in the wireless technology business and worked with our partners Globe and Smart, she immediately narrated such a revealing tale. Bea is a 21-year-old college graduate who has been jobless since her graduation last year and like the millions of Filipino youths, she used her cellphone actively to text friends and download content.
