ZAMBOANGA CITY - A 34-year-old businessman from Lanao del Sur was freed by his
kidnappers after his family paid a P200,000 ransom, police said.
The captors of Mangondaya Macre earlier demanded P400,000 but later reduced the
amount to P200,000.
Macre was snatched by armed men, led by one Samsoden Rangaig Dimasungkay, while
cruising along the Marawi-Iligan highway last Tuesday, according to Chief
Superintendent Dominador Domingo, Western Mindanao police director.
