Sumulong sa quarterfinal round si Luat matapos ang makapigil-hiningang 11-10 panalo laban kay David Alcaide ng Spain sa Last 16 na sinundan ng 11-5 pamamayani ni Alcano, na nagpatalsik naman kay Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes, 10-7, laban kay Kou Po-Cheng ng Taipei na sumiguro sa kanila ng $10,000 na premyo.
