[Title] => Living in retirement
[Summary] => For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21
As our plane landed at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, applause broke out among a group of airline employees. I thought this was a bit unusual, until I was told that the pilot had just completed he last flight of his career. He would retire the next day, and his colleagues were expressing their happiness for him.

[Title] => Dealing with self-doubt
[Summary] => I will walk in my integrity; redeem me and be merciful to me. My foot stands in an even place. Psalm 26:11-12

[Title] => I want to see
[Summary] => In the midst of the crowd, upon hearing that Jesus was passing by, the blind man Bartimaeus insisted on calling Jesus to heal him. He cried out with blind eyes as well as blind faith: "Jesus, son of David, have pity on me." The ever compassionate Jesus could not resist. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. The blind man simply said: "Master, I want to see." And he did! (From todays Gospel incident, Mk. 10:46-52).

[Title] => My body and blood
[Summary] => Yes. My very own body and blood. And your very own body and blood, too. As Jesus offered His very life for us to the very end, so, too, must each one of us. This is the meaning of the Eucharist, each time we come together for Holy Mass.
"Take it; this is my body
This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many." (From todays Gospel reading, Mk. 12:12-16, 22-26).
