[Title] => Capitol consultant hits move of some city officials vs. deal
[Summary] => A Capitol consultant yesterday assailed some Cebu City officials for trying to block the lot-swapping deal between the provincial government and the city government.
Lawyer Pablo John Garcia, information organization and management consultant, said "there are certain people who do not want this deal to push through for purely political reasons."
Pablo John recalled an incident in the past when some city council members allegedly went to see Governor Gwen Garcia and tried to convince her that the deal may not be feasible to both parties.

[Title] => Militant group head denies hurting Byron
[Summary] => Kadamay chairperson Winnie Badayos denied it was he who inflicted bruises on Capitol consultant Byron Garcia in a reported scuffle in last Monday's rally in front of the Capitol building.
Badayos explained his group could not have possibly touched Byron because Byron had four security guards and two members of the civil service units with him.
In a press conference yesterday, he said that during their rally, Byron went out of the Capitol building with security guards and two CSU personnel and told them to stop what they are doing.

[Title] => Ombudsman to probe Osmeña raps vs Garcias
[Summary] => CEBU The Office of the Ombudsman will open a fact-finding inquiry into the allegations of plunder leveled by former Sen. John Osmeña against Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia and her father Pablo, the former governor.
Ombudsman director Virginia Palanca-Santiago said Osmeñas complaint did not contain documentary evidence to support the allegations.
Through a fact-finding inquiry, Santiago said the Ombudsman would determine if there is substantial evidence to formally charge the Garcias administratively or criminally, or both.
