[Title] => Drilon wants to mediate between Ping, Barbers
[Summary] => To save the Senate from being dragged into a word war between Senators Robert Barbers and Panfilo Lacson, Senate President Franklin Drilon said yesterday he is willing to broker peace between them.
Drilon, who arrived from Australia over the weekend, said he hopes that Barbers and Lacson would "put aside" personal insults because it would be detrimental to them as senators and to the integrity of the Senate as an institution.

[Title] => Bury hatchet, Biazon urges Lacson, Barbers
[Summary] => Would the two warring former policemen-turned senators listen to a former soldier-colleague?
Senators Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Robert Barbers were urged yesterday to bury the hatchet and stop their feud for the sake of the Senate.
In making the appeal, Lacsons opposition colleague Rodolfo Biazon said the quarrel between the two is putting the entire Senate in a bad light.
The two should just talk things over instead of feuding in public, he said.

[Title] => NBI closing on shabu haul brains
[Summary] => The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now closing-in on the alleged "brains" of the 250-kilo shabu haul seized from a condominium unit in Pasay City last Dec. 26.
This after the NBIs Special Task Force (STF) invited yesterday for questioning a male lathe machine operator in Valenzuela.
STF head Max Salvador said the lathe operator whom he refused to identify was the "dummy" owner of the condominium unit in Pasay City which was used by suspected members of the 14-K drug syndicate as a storeroom for the drugs.
