[Title] => How does Jesus save all humanity?
[Summary] => In our Gospel reading today, Peter declares: “There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved” (Acts 4:12). What does it mean to proclaim that Jesus Christ is the sole savior of humanity?

[Title] => Population crisis
[Summary] => In todays Gospel teaching, Jesus sends us, his disciples, to be faithful and prudent stewards of His people (Lk. 12: 32-48). Steward means caretaker, tagapag-alaga. What a timely message to our Church leaders at the height of our over-population crisis to actively work for the morally effective means of family planning and responsible parenthood.
And what are these morally effective means? Since at least seventy percent of our people are Catholic, let us focus on the morally effective means of birth regulation within the Catholic Church.

[Title] => Gentle giant
[Summary] => He was different from the stereotypes. For instance, the stereotype of giants. Unlike the giants of legend and unlike the biblical giant Goliath whom David slew, John Krebs (a giant in height) was gentle, soft-spoken.

[Title] => A glorious failure
[Summary] => One of the great theologians of modern times was Father Karl Rahner, S.J. He was born in 1904, so this year is the centenary of his birth.
This great theologian was once a failure. He began his academic career by flunking. It was however a glorious failure which showed his greatness and the blindness of his professor.

[Summary] => There are priests who are not distinguished. They are competent, even talented, but they do not stand out as unusual or extraordinary, and they are not believed to have what are called leadership qualities. They are, however, zealous and dedicated. They devote themselves to the humbler, less spectacular ministries, like hearing confessions, or celebrating Mass for ordinary people.
Such priests are the backbone of the Church. They probably will not get awards and marks of recognition, but (as Karl Rahner says) they are the ones who do most to promote the kingdom of God.

[Title] => Ang Pasko ay magpakailanman
[Summary] => Narito ang isang napakagandang pagninilay mula kay Karl Rahner, S.J., isang German theologian.
